Choosing a Course
Scholarships may be awarded to applicants for one-year taught masters degrees in any subject available at the University of Cambridge, except the MBA and the MFIN.
Choosing a College
In general, the Omid Cambridge Scholarship is only tenable at St Edmund’s College, Cambridge. Therefore, please ensure you select St Edmund’s College as your first preference when applying to the University.
If you wish to apply to a different college but still want to be considered for the Omid Cambridge Scholarship, please contact the Omid Trust directly in advance of submitting your application, explaining your reasons, and a member of our team will consider your request.
The Number of Awards
The Omid Trust and its partners aim to award one or two scholarships in each academic year. Variations in number will be determined by the level of funds available, and by the number of strong candidates.
The Amount of the Award
The Omid Scholarship usually pays for the cost of the University tuition fees, which is typically in the region of £15,000 to £30,000. In most cases, students are expected to pay for any associated college fees, as well as their living expenses (which includes accommodation costs). More information on likely living expenses in Cambridge can be found on the website of the University of Cambridge, and by clicking this link.
University Tuition Fees

Furthermore, by clicking on the title for the graduate courses in the list, you will be directed to a webpage that includes the relevant course’s details, including its duration.
College Fees
Please be aware that some Masters courses at the University of Cambridge attract substantial College Fees on top of University tuition fees. For example, all MASt courses are treated as undergraduate courses for fee purposes. This means that international/overseas students on MASt courses are charged the undergraduate College fee, which is in addition to the University tuition fee and maintenance costs. The Omid Cambridge Scholarship does not generally fund College fees. Therefore, please check carefully before applying whether College fees might apply to your course.
