In the summer of 2013, the Omid Trust entered into an agreement with St Edmund’s College as part of the launch of its first fully-funded scholarship position at the University of Cambridge. The Omid Cambridge scholars will be welcomed at St. Edmund’s College, who have kindly offered to contribute towards funding costs.
St Edmund’s College is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge. The College has about 50 Fellows and over 400 student members, the majority of whom are reading for higher degrees, though there are also mature students studying as undergraduates. A relaxed and cordial atmosphere is encouraged in which undergraduates, graduates and Fellows mix freely. The College is noted for the strength of its international community; about two-thirds of the students are international (from some 60 countries), and one-third are UK residents.
